SOOOO Behind...

Alright. I am officially the worlds worst blogger. I've gone just about all summer without blogging. I do have a good excuse though: NO INTERNET AT HOME. Yep... I really don't. It's hurts the blog for sure. I want to tell you what we've been up to, but right now I don't have pictures! So just really quick I'll list it.

-We went to San Diego with the Mack's for a week.
-We went to the Cabin for the weekend with our friends, Liz and Bobby, in July.
-We went to Tahoe for the Day.
-We went to the Ward Camp-out, with our new ward, in Tahoe.
-We took a 4 day road trip to Washington, and then drove the 101 Coast Highway all the way back home.
-Justin got a guys weekend away at the cabin.
-I went with my Mom and sister, Jenna, to Idaho to take Jenna to school.

And I think we're done for the summer. We'll see. It's not over yet, but by the looks of it today (thunderstorms?! what is that!) it just might be.

I'll put up pictures soon. Promise!

They Found Me!

Allergies that is...

In regards to a few posts ago, and allergies not showing up till late March, well... I spoke too soon. Turns out that February allergies were just warning me that Spring was coming on full force and letting me know that I would be MISERABLE at the end of March. Yes, that would be this past weekend. They hit me dead on, on March 20th.

And this is now my new best friend.

No. Not the PE JUNK... the stuff drugs are made of. You've gotta ask the pharmacist for it, and sign an agreement that you WILL NOT use this product for anything other than what the box recommends it for. Otherwise... $250,000 fine baby!

No worries here though. I'm only going to be taking 2 every 4 to 6 hours every day so that I can FEEL BETTER! Oh the joys of Allergies.

P.S. Remember to drink lots of water! That helps out too. :-)

My 23rd :-)

Here's the rest in a nutshell...

Chevy's for dinner on Saturday.

With Katie and Jo, Liz and Bob, and My Husband (of course)
Then we ate Angel Food cake with Chocolate Whip Cream and Strawberries! SO GOOD!

Then on Sunday, my cute primary class had made cards and
one made me a necklace and we ate yummy treats and of
course had our lesson.

Here are my cute girls!

Dolls aren't they!!

Then we went to my parents where my wonderful Momma made Birthday Dinner:
BBQ Chicken
Artichokes
Garlic Bread
Salad

Then we had Birthday Cake.
My little brother (he's not little and he's 17)
made the cake! It was SO YUMMY!
3 layer cake
Chocolate Frosting
Chocolate Bottom Layer
Vanilla Middle layer
Chocolate top Layer
Candles in the form of a Smiley Face :-)

It was a FABULOUS 23rd Birthday!

Happy Birthday to...

ME!!!

Yes, It is true... I had a birthday on the 14th of March.
And yes, It is true that I only turned 23.
No... I'm not even close to old. I did have a great birthday though!
I have this fabulous Husband named Justin. And He decided to surprise me by taking me to San Francisco to see WICKED at the Orpheum Theater! And OH MY GOSH. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G amazing. I (we) just loved it! It was so funny, and so well done. It was great to see a different twist of "The Wizard of Oz." Now I need to read the book. I could seriously watch this 100 times over and never be bored. It was THAT good. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I don't know how long it's in San Fran for, but go see it!

Here we are in front of the banner.

Here is the very cool setting.

Now... No fun evening is complete without some adventures and some funnies.

Adventure-
We have 2 cars. One is a GHETTO Lexus ES 300 with 207,000 miles. The other is a Nissan Titan that get crap gas mileage. Needless to say, we are in need of an economically friendly, reliable car. Anyway, we decided that it would be a good idea to ask my parent if we could drive one of their reliable cars down to San Fran for the night. Of course they said we could. We went and picked up my brother's Nissan Frontier and drove that little puppy down there. It drove like a dream (compared to ours) and we were glad we didn't have problems. Then, for some reason, I decided to look over at the dash and look at how HOT the car was getting. And ya know what, that little dial thingy was all the way up at H! Luckily we were already there, we were just looking for a place to park. So we rolled down the windows, and turned up the heat! We parked 3 stories under the ground and started walking to our destination. We grabbed some quick food and then I stood in front of the theater while Justin ran to get some COOLANT from Walgreens. Yes, the truck was COMPLETELY OUT OF COOLANT. That can't be good right? Well, we got it and after Wicked we went to the car and got our hands dirty (well, Justin did. I was just the photographer.) Problem solved. My brother now understands that he needs to check all of the fluid levels in the car... not just the oil and gas :-)

Our makeshift funnel

And now for the quick funny-
So as Justin and I are driving in the City, Justin and I have this conversation...

Justin- "Hey look! There's the capitol building."
Kimberly- "Nope."
Justin- "Yeah, look! It's the capitol. Right there!"
Kimberly- "Justin? What's the capitol of California?" Giggles start.
Justin- Blank Stare for about 10 seconds. Big Smile and Cheeks turn a little reddish. Laughing starts. "Not San Francisco. And that's not the capitol."
Kimberly- Laughing uncontrollably. "No. It's definitely not. But that was a great Blond Moment!"
Justin- "Well it sure looks like it could be!"
**And the laughing continues for quite some time**

Yes ladies and gentlemen. My Husband had a FABULOUS "Blond Moment". It was so funny.

And in His defense...
It kinda does look like it could be.

We Have a BED!

My wonderful Papa built us a bed for Christmas. I know this is no where near Christmas, but this is post worthy.

When we got married we had a CalKing mattress that lived on the floor. That was great for awhile, however it is not where mattresses belong. We asked my Papa if he would build us a bed and we would of course take care of the cost and then some. Being the wonderful person that He is, He decided to build us a bed for our Christmas Present! What a wonderful present it was too! We just love it. Love the height, color, the fact that the mattress is off the ground, and it was FREE!
Papa is just a wonderful person. He's the only grandparent that I have left, and gosh darn it I'm lucky to have him. I love him a lot. He's always been there for my family. He's loving, kind, honest, caring, fun, and "the man." He is what a grandparent should be. As described by Jo Mortimer, "He is the epitome of Man." (or something like that)

Here it is! There are even drawers built in!!!

And here is Papa :-)

I was asked if I've reached the point yet where I can't believe I've lived so long without him, and my immediate response was YES! I can't imagine what life would be like without him. He always seems to make me laugh, no matter the situation and how hard I try to resist. I find myself thinking of all the silly things he says and does, and I just laugh out loud. He is truly my rock, my partner, and my life.

I love him so much.

Weekend in Phoenix

At Christmas we were told that our niece, Sarah, was going to be baptized in January. She really wanted her Uncle Justin to be there. So the decision was a "no brainer." We were going to be there.

Since we had been there just a short 3 weeks before January 16th, we were determined to make this trip as cheap as possible.

We rented this.

(Don't be fooled. Horrible thing to drive. No guts.)

And we drove to Phoenix on Jan. 15th. It was fun. I love road trips with Justin because I get him ALL TOO MY SELF! Not that I really have to share ever, but this really is just "me and Justin time." My favorite time.

The Baptism was wonderful! Sadly I didn't take pictures of the lovely Sarah, but Here is a picture of our Family in Arizona.
(Front Row: Jessica, Jarom, JD, Sarah, Anna.
Back Row: Me, Justin, Sherrie, and Wayne.)

We love going to see them. We wish we were closer :-(

The girls just adore Justin. Especially this little one, Jessica.

We were so happy that we got to spend a weekend (other than a regular holiday) down with family. It was great to be there for Sarah. She's so sweet, and loving. She's a wonderful big sister, and such a great example for Anna and Jessica. We're very proud of her and her decision to be baptized.

Here's a picture of us and the girls.

From right to left.
Jessica, Anna, and Sarah

Sadly, our fun weekend getaway came to a close. We had to pack up, get on a plane, and go home. Thank goodness we didn't have to drive all the way back to SacTown. We got to live the car in Phoenix! Strangely this was the cheapest way to do it. I'm sure there will be many more times that this happens. HA!

We love and miss our family in Phoenix VERY VERY MUCH!
Someday, we'll all be closer.

Our VERY Exciting 09!

I promised an over view.

So... HERE IT IS!
(sorry if it's so long that it makes you want to cry. blame me. i'm the one not keeping up with the blogging)

I'm going straight to April 18th.
The most amazing, and happiest day of our lives.
(our wedding day, of course!)

This is Mr. and Mrs. Justin Mack!!!

These are all the people who LOVE us!
Then we went on our FUN (FREE) Honeymoon to San Diego!

We stayed in this awesome condo. Courtesy
of my Hubby's family friends.

(sorry about the color... playing with camera)

We got to go to the beach...

...to the zoo...(i was so excited about the ZEBRA'S!!!!!)

...Justin stood next to a
gigantic tree!...

(we rode bikes everywhere... needless to say, I'm HORRIBLE AT IT! it was fun though.)

...then we had to come home to our apartment and OPEN PRESENTS, and hit the just married, busy, working life, bliss.

Then we hit 4th of July (we're horrible picture takers... that's why we jump from april, to july).
We took Jenna and Ryan, my sister and brother, up to Tahoe to
the cabin. It was a great weekend away and did lots of fun stuff. We even joined all the crazy drunks in South Tahoe and watched all the fireworks over the lake (sorry, no fireworks pictures). We went hiking and all that jazz... here are pics!

(that water... not warm... but makes for a beautiful waterfall... pictures just aren't the same)

Around that same time we got to go to Lake Tahoe for the day. We floated the Truckee River. Ate cold spaghetti sandwiches (i swear they were good). And we jumped off the pier into the lake! It was so fun! Especially since we got to do it all with our friends the Green's and the Mortimer's (pictures below!)

(this is Liz and Bob Green)
(obviously this is us...)

(this is Katie and Jo Mortimer)

There is already a post all about Justin's 30th BIRTHDAY!!!!
Take a look at that for the scoop there... sorry, too lazy to post more about that since the thing is HUGEMOUNGOUS!

*** SIDE NOTE ***
Justin, Liz, and I got to go see Keith Urban! LOVE HIM!
*** SECOND SIDE NOTE ***
On the way to the Temple one evening,
This happened...

So... needless to say... we didn't make it to the temple...
But because that happened...
this happened...

Yes... Justin got a little bit of an upgrade in the car department... we did get an AMAZING deal, and we both are IN LOVE with it. SO... it was necessary.

(i wasn't sure where either one of those "side notes" fit in... I know it was after we got married and before New Years...)

Anyway, back to our year.

Summer came to a close and it was Halloween!!! We went to our ward Halloween Party a few days before and then went to the Mortimer's for the actual night. We also went to Chipotle because if you "dressed up like a burrito" or in other words "wrapped a piece of foil on your arm" you got a FREE BURRITO! Since when is ANYTHING EVER FREE! It was great.

Yes. This is a half eaten cookie in Bob's Pocket.

It's really too bad we didn't realize that we were supposed to dress up for the Ward Party. Otherwise, we probably would have dressed up a little bit.

I love when it gets to be the Holiday season.

Then Thanksgiving came around. I do not have pictures though. We went to my parents this year. Mom makes an AMAZING Turkey dinner. Jenna came home, and the Gade's (my cousins and Uncle), and my Papa were all there for dinner. It was really nice, and super low key.

*Special Note*
Christmas came a little early for us. We were trying to sell Justin's piece of crap crashed car on CraigsList. We had no luck trying to do it ourselves, so a family friend (Tom Evans- aka A Miracle Worker) helped sell it for us. Ok, actually he did all the hard work. Well one day I came home from work and found this all over my BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree (I LOVE MY CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!)

Yes. That is a WHOPPING $600 that we got for our
CRASHED PATHFINDER!

Thank goodness for Tom.
Justin is so funny. Hanging money all over the tree.
It stayed like that for a couple days.

Then for Christmas we went to Arizona to be with Justin's family. I just love them. They are so wonderful and I am so blessed to have married into such a WONDERFUL Family. We arrived on Wednesday and got to stay through Monday. It was great. We had so much fun. The girls got a trampoline, dolls, and all kinds of fun stuff. Christmas is so much better when you have little kids to share it with. Saddy, no pictures of this wonderful time in AZ. I think the next post has pictures of all of his family.
Here is a picture of our fabulous tree without
all the money on it.
(don't you just love the
zebra tree skirt!? That was so Justin's idea)

Anyway... Then we hit New Years! Again... no pictures. But we spent it in Lincoln with the Green's playing games, watching movies, and just LIVIN' IT UP!!!

That was our 2009... umm... in a nut shell???

Now. Lets see if I can keep up with 2010!
