Our VERY Exciting 09!

I promised an over view.

So... HERE IT IS!
(sorry if it's so long that it makes you want to cry. blame me. i'm the one not keeping up with the blogging)

I'm going straight to April 18th.
The most amazing, and happiest day of our lives.
(our wedding day, of course!)

This is Mr. and Mrs. Justin Mack!!!

These are all the people who LOVE us!
Then we went on our FUN (FREE) Honeymoon to San Diego!

We stayed in this awesome condo. Courtesy
of my Hubby's family friends.

(sorry about the color... playing with camera)

We got to go to the beach...

...to the zoo...(i was so excited about the ZEBRA'S!!!!!)

...Justin stood next to a
gigantic tree!...

(we rode bikes everywhere... needless to say, I'm HORRIBLE AT IT! it was fun though.)

...then we had to come home to our apartment and OPEN PRESENTS, and hit the just married, busy, working life, bliss.

Then we hit 4th of July (we're horrible picture takers... that's why we jump from april, to july).
We took Jenna and Ryan, my sister and brother, up to Tahoe to
the cabin. It was a great weekend away and did lots of fun stuff. We even joined all the crazy drunks in South Tahoe and watched all the fireworks over the lake (sorry, no fireworks pictures). We went hiking and all that jazz... here are pics!

(that water... not warm... but makes for a beautiful waterfall... pictures just aren't the same)

Around that same time we got to go to Lake Tahoe for the day. We floated the Truckee River. Ate cold spaghetti sandwiches (i swear they were good). And we jumped off the pier into the lake! It was so fun! Especially since we got to do it all with our friends the Green's and the Mortimer's (pictures below!)

(this is Liz and Bob Green)
(obviously this is us...)

(this is Katie and Jo Mortimer)

There is already a post all about Justin's 30th BIRTHDAY!!!!
Take a look at that for the scoop there... sorry, too lazy to post more about that since the thing is HUGEMOUNGOUS!

*** SIDE NOTE ***
Justin, Liz, and I got to go see Keith Urban! LOVE HIM!
*** SECOND SIDE NOTE ***
On the way to the Temple one evening,
This happened...

So... needless to say... we didn't make it to the temple...
But because that happened...
this happened...

Yes... Justin got a little bit of an upgrade in the car department... we did get an AMAZING deal, and we both are IN LOVE with it. SO... it was necessary.

(i wasn't sure where either one of those "side notes" fit in... I know it was after we got married and before New Years...)

Anyway, back to our year.

Summer came to a close and it was Halloween!!! We went to our ward Halloween Party a few days before and then went to the Mortimer's for the actual night. We also went to Chipotle because if you "dressed up like a burrito" or in other words "wrapped a piece of foil on your arm" you got a FREE BURRITO! Since when is ANYTHING EVER FREE! It was great.

Yes. This is a half eaten cookie in Bob's Pocket.

It's really too bad we didn't realize that we were supposed to dress up for the Ward Party. Otherwise, we probably would have dressed up a little bit.

I love when it gets to be the Holiday season.

Then Thanksgiving came around. I do not have pictures though. We went to my parents this year. Mom makes an AMAZING Turkey dinner. Jenna came home, and the Gade's (my cousins and Uncle), and my Papa were all there for dinner. It was really nice, and super low key.

*Special Note*
Christmas came a little early for us. We were trying to sell Justin's piece of crap crashed car on CraigsList. We had no luck trying to do it ourselves, so a family friend (Tom Evans- aka A Miracle Worker) helped sell it for us. Ok, actually he did all the hard work. Well one day I came home from work and found this all over my BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree (I LOVE MY CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!)

Yes. That is a WHOPPING $600 that we got for our
CRASHED PATHFINDER!

Thank goodness for Tom.
Justin is so funny. Hanging money all over the tree.
It stayed like that for a couple days.

Then for Christmas we went to Arizona to be with Justin's family. I just love them. They are so wonderful and I am so blessed to have married into such a WONDERFUL Family. We arrived on Wednesday and got to stay through Monday. It was great. We had so much fun. The girls got a trampoline, dolls, and all kinds of fun stuff. Christmas is so much better when you have little kids to share it with. Saddy, no pictures of this wonderful time in AZ. I think the next post has pictures of all of his family.
Here is a picture of our fabulous tree without
all the money on it.
(don't you just love the
zebra tree skirt!? That was so Justin's idea)

Anyway... Then we hit New Years! Again... no pictures. But we spent it in Lincoln with the Green's playing games, watching movies, and just LIVIN' IT UP!!!

That was our 2009... umm... in a nut shell???

Now. Lets see if I can keep up with 2010!

My HUBBY is the BIG 3-0!!!!

Hello! Ok... So I haven't updated my blog since we got out Engagement pics done like 7 months ago. SO... After Liz telling me that I HAVE TO... Here I am UPDATING my blog.

My fabulously wonderful husband hit a big mile stone a couple weeks ago (August 15). He turned 30!!! Yes... my new husband is 30! Needless to say... He definitely was NOT looking forward to it. He said he was OLD. He's not old, and he definitely doesn't look 30.

See... SO NOT OLD. ha.

Anyway... He wanted to do a lot of things for his birthday... And being that it was a big one... we did EVERYTHING!

So his actual birthday was a Saturday... So we started celebrating on Friday. We went to dinner with out friends Liz and Bobby, Katie and Jo, and Devin and Ashley. He wanted to go to Claim Jumper... so we all went, ate food, and then came back to our apartment where we sat around and talked and ate Justin's favorite thing... CHEESE CAKE!

Then it was Saturday... and what did Justin want to do? EVERYTHING... He wanted to go to Monterey, Carmel, and Santa Cruz... yes... all in one day. SO after our long Friday night, we got in the car at 7:00am and drove to Monterey to go to the aquarium. It was so fun. We loved it! There are so many fun things to see.

Then we were off to Carmel-By-The-Sea. I am in love with it. It is beautiful. White beaches, and beautiful water. It was so fun to be on the beach. We weren't exactly prepared for the beach though. Me in pants and a t-shirt, just in his regular clothes... so we just walked around and talked to some people and just enjoyed being there. We will go back, and I will be laying there on the beach. I Love it. Here are just a couple pictures of the beach.

So after the beach and the amazing beach houses that we saw... someday I'll have a home there haha... we were off to Santa Cruz! On the drive there we stopped at a local street market and got some really yummy fresh fruit. Justin loves his fresh fruit. Then we continued on our way. When we got there it was a little smokey cuz of the fire's that are going on down there, but we didn't let that ruin our day. We walked down the pier and got some clam chowder and bread bowls then drove a little more till we got to the Mystery Spot. This was so fun, and we laughed so hard. It was great!!!

SO this was our VERY fun and eventful Saturday. The day ended with us singing songs, anything that we could remember some of the words too, and singing them at the top of our lungs. We were so ready to be OUT of the car.

Then it was Sunday... I made Encheladas for for Justin's birthday dinner. They were so yummy. My whole family came over at sat at our new really awesome table. It doesn't quite fit in the apartment, but we did it anyway! It was so fun. We always go to my parents house for dinner on Sunday's so it was nice to switch it up and have them over at our place. Oh and of course we had to sing Justin Happy Birthday. SO I lit 30 candles on top of a New York Style Cheesecake and watched him blow them out effortlessly. I think this is the last year that we will be putting individual candles on a cake.

So that was our fun Birthday weekend. Regardless of Justin feeling old, I think he had a blast. I know I did. After the weekend was over Justin says to me... "I am getting grey hair, a spare tire, and I wear golf shirts to work. I am OLD!" I had to reassure him that, no he was not old. I think he's feeling better about it now, and realizing that it's not much different than being 29. I also had to remind him that he married a 22 year old... so he definately shouldn't feel old. ha.

Alright... I have a million more things to blog, but I'll so it later. See ya!
