They Found Me!

Allergies that is...

In regards to a few posts ago, and allergies not showing up till late March, well... I spoke too soon. Turns out that February allergies were just warning me that Spring was coming on full force and letting me know that I would be MISERABLE at the end of March. Yes, that would be this past weekend. They hit me dead on, on March 20th.

And this is now my new best friend.

No. Not the PE JUNK... the stuff drugs are made of. You've gotta ask the pharmacist for it, and sign an agreement that you WILL NOT use this product for anything other than what the box recommends it for. Otherwise... $250,000 fine baby!

No worries here though. I'm only going to be taking 2 every 4 to 6 hours every day so that I can FEEL BETTER! Oh the joys of Allergies.

P.S. Remember to drink lots of water! That helps out too. :-)

It was a FABULOUS 23rd Birthday!

Happy Birthday to...

ME!!!

Yes, It is true... I had a birthday on the 14th of March.
And yes, It is true that I only turned 23.
No... I'm not even close to old. I did have a great birthday though!
I have this fabulous Husband named Justin. And He decided to surprise me by taking me to San Francisco to see WICKED at the Orpheum Theater! And OH MY GOSH. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G amazing. I (we) just loved it! It was so funny, and so well done. It was great to see a different twist of "The Wizard of Oz." Now I need to read the book. I could seriously watch this 100 times over and never be bored. It was THAT good. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I don't know how long it's in San Fran for, but go see it!

Here we are in front of the banner.

Here is the very cool setting.

Now... No fun evening is complete without some adventures and some funnies.

Adventure-
We have 2 cars. One is a GHETTO Lexus ES 300 with 207,000 miles. The other is a Nissan Titan that get crap gas mileage. Needless to say, we are in need of an economically friendly, reliable car. Anyway, we decided that it would be a good idea to ask my parent if we could drive one of their reliable cars down to San Fran for the night. Of course they said we could. We went and picked up my brother's Nissan Frontier and drove that little puppy down there. It drove like a dream (compared to ours) and we were glad we didn't have problems. Then, for some reason, I decided to look over at the dash and look at how HOT the car was getting. And ya know what, that little dial thingy was all the way up at H! Luckily we were already there, we were just looking for a place to park. So we rolled down the windows, and turned up the heat! We parked 3 stories under the ground and started walking to our destination. We grabbed some quick food and then I stood in front of the theater while Justin ran to get some COOLANT from Walgreens. Yes, the truck was COMPLETELY OUT OF COOLANT. That can't be good right? Well, we got it and after Wicked we went to the car and got our hands dirty (well, Justin did. I was just the photographer.) Problem solved. My brother now understands that he needs to check all of the fluid levels in the car... not just the oil and gas :-)

Our makeshift funnel

And now for the quick funny-
So as Justin and I are driving in the City, Justin and I have this conversation...

Justin- "Hey look! There's the capitol building."
Kimberly- "Nope."
Justin- "Yeah, look! It's the capitol. Right there!"
Kimberly- "Justin? What's the capitol of California?" Giggles start.
Justin- Blank Stare for about 10 seconds. Big Smile and Cheeks turn a little reddish. Laughing starts. "Not San Francisco. And that's not the capitol."
Kimberly- Laughing uncontrollably. "No. It's definitely not. But that was a great Blond Moment!"
Justin- "Well it sure looks like it could be!"
**And the laughing continues for quite some time**

Yes ladies and gentlemen. My Husband had a FABULOUS "Blond Moment". It was so funny.

And in His defense...
It kinda does look like it could be.

We Have a BED!

My wonderful Papa built us a bed for Christmas. I know this is no where near Christmas, but this is post worthy.

When we got married we had a CalKing mattress that lived on the floor. That was great for awhile, however it is not where mattresses belong. We asked my Papa if he would build us a bed and we would of course take care of the cost and then some. Being the wonderful person that He is, He decided to build us a bed for our Christmas Present! What a wonderful present it was too! We just love it. Love the height, color, the fact that the mattress is off the ground, and it was FREE!
Papa is just a wonderful person. He's the only grandparent that I have left, and gosh darn it I'm lucky to have him. I love him a lot. He's always been there for my family. He's loving, kind, honest, caring, fun, and "the man." He is what a grandparent should be. As described by Jo Mortimer, "He is the epitome of Man." (or something like that)

Here it is! There are even drawers built in!!!

And here is Papa :-)
